Gusto Acquires Guideline in $600 Million Deal, Faces Competition from Human Interest

Gusto, a payroll and HR software company, has acquired Guideline, a startup offering retirement plans for small and medium businesses, in a deal reportedly worth around $600 million. Guideline faces competition from Human Interest, which is in talks to raise $200 million at a $3 billion valuation.
