AI Healthcare Startup Qventus Raises $105M in Series D Funding

Healthcare is proving to be a lucrative industry for AI solutions. Qventus, a startup developing AI-based tools for healthcare scenarios, has secured a Series D funding of $105 million led by KKR with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners and strategic investors like Northwestern Medicine, HonorHealth, and Allina Health. The funding will be used to expand its 'AI teammates' for wider use cases.
The round includes $85 million in equity and $20 million in optional debt. Qventus has seen significant growth, with its latest valuation exceeding $400 million. The fundraising reflects the growing interest in AI healthcare among investors. Qventus has experienced four-fold customer base growth and is close to breaking even.
Qventus, established over 12 years ago, initially applied machine learning to enhance medical professionals' efficiency and has since expanded into areas like pharmacy operations. The company is now leveraging generative AI to develop more responsive solutions.
KKR's investment in Qventus reflects the intersection of technology and healthcare, with the company's technology easing care orchestration and administrative burdens for medical staff.
The healthcare AI sector is expected to witness further fundraising and consolidation in the coming year.
