AI Testing Startup Momentic Secures $15M in Series A Funding

Momentic, an AI testing startup, has raised $15 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by Standard Capital and saw participation from Dropbox Ventures, alongside existing investors like Y Combinator, FCVC, Transpose Platform, and Karman Ventures.
Momentic's tools for software testing and verification utilize AI to simplify and automate the process, allowing customers to describe user flows in plain English for automation. Co-founders Wei-Wei Wu and Jeff An, with backgrounds in developer tooling at companies like Qualtrics and WeWork, aim to address the pain point of verifying code.
The company currently serves 2,600 users, including clients like Notion, Xero, Bilt, Webflow, and Retool. With the new funding, Momentic plans to enhance its product by expanding support for mobile environments and developing more sophisticated test-case management.
Despite the potential competition from foundation models like OpenAI and Anthropic, Momentic remains optimistic about the future of automated coding and the consequent demand for their products.
