Blackwall, an AI-powered Cybersecurity Startup, Secures €45 Million Series B Funding

Blackwall, an Estonia-based startup, has recently secured a major round of funding, with a focus on providing cybersecurity solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The company, formerly known as BotGuard, has rebranded to reflect its expanded scope and aims to combat the growing threat of online bots and other malicious traffic. Blackwall's flagship product, GateKeeper, utilizes AI to analyze and filter malicious requests in real time, offering protection from a range of security threats including bots and intruders.

The funding, totaling €45 million, will support the development of new products and the company's expansion into the U.S. and APAC markets. Blackwall's strategic approach involves partnering with hosting service providers, managed service providers, and e-commerce platforms to offer its solutions to customers, thereby differentiating itself and reducing costs incurred from malicious traffic.

The startup has already seen success, with its services deployed across more than 2.3 million websites and applications. With the new funding, Blackwall plans to double its headcount and further strengthen its position in the cybersecurity market, with support from investors such as Dawn Capital and MMC Ventures.
