British Startup Wayve Secures $1.05 Billion Series C to Advance Self-Driving Car Technology

Wayve, the market leader in Embodied artificial intelligence (AI) for autonomous driving, announced today it  has secured $1.05 billion in Series C funding led by SoftBank, with contributions from NVIDIA and Microsoft.

The investment will propel Wayve's mission to revolutionize autonomous mobility through Embodied AI, which integrates advanced AI into vehicles and robots. This technology allows machines to interact with and learn from human behavior in real-world environments, enhancing usability and safety in autonomous driving systems.

Wayve, founded in 2017, is a pioneer in this field, having developed and tested an end-to-end AI autonomous driving system on public roads. Their advancements aim to empower vehicles to perceive and navigate diverse environments, moving towards higher levels of driving automation.
