Cambio Raises $18M Series A Funding Led by Maverick Ventures

Cambio, a startup specializing in AI-powered commercial real estate software for institutional investors, has successfully secured $18 million in a Series A funding round, valuing the company at $100 million. Maverick Ventures spearheaded the financing, with contributions from Y Combinator, Adverb, and angel investors from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Notion. Founded in 2022 by former institutional commercial real estate operators Leia de Guzman and Stephanie Grayson, Cambio has now amassed a total of $22 million. The San Francisco-based company, which participated in Y Combinator’s summer 2022 cohort, unveiled its offering at the end of 2023 and has since experienced rapid adoption across enterprise customers and 35 countries, managing over 2 billion square feet in assets.
Cambio's software utilizes large language models and agentic artificial intelligence workflows to transform complex building data into investor-grade decisions and reporting in just minutes. Its primary goal is to aid institutional investors in capital deployment, asset prioritization, and maximizing returns. Among its notable customers are Oxford Properties, Nuveen, Principal, BGO, and Beacon Capital. The company sees a massive market opportunity in the $20 trillion-plus U.S. commercial real estate industry. In 2025, global real estate-related startups secured approximately $10.5 billion in financing from seed to growth stages, reflecting a 17% increase from 2024.
Cambio has strategically built a leadership team comprising individuals with direct experience in the commercial real estate sector it serves. The startup plans to utilize the new capital to scale its product and engineering efforts. Maverick Ventures' managing director, Ryan Isono, highlighted the founders' extensive experience in running commercial real estate portfolios, emphasizing their intuitive understanding of the workflow challenges and the need for an AI-native approach. He also commended Cambio's technical team, particularly CTO Leon Chen, and their expertise in addressing the complexities of automating data in the commercial real estate domain. With the funding secured, Cambio is poised to further its mission of revolutionizing commercial real estate workflows through AI-powered solutions.
