Crossmint, an all-in-one platform for companies venturing into blockchain technology, has successfully concluded a $23.6 million funding round. The investment was spearheaded by Ribbit Capital and saw participation from Franklin Templeton, Nyca, First Round, and Lightspeed Faction. This funding milestone comes on the heels of a remarkable year for Crossmint, which witnessed a 1,100% surge in subscription revenue in 2024.

Crossmint's core offering revolves around providing businesses with the necessary tools to construct blockchain applications in a streamlined manner, encompassing wallets, tokenization, onramps, and payments. One of the key differentiators for Crossmint is its ability to eradicate the complexities often associated with blockchain integration for both businesses and end users. Notably, the platform eliminates the need for dedicated blockchain engineers and cryptocurrency holdings, offering a consolidated solution. For end users, the experience mirrors conventional web practices, incorporating familiar features such as FaceID and email sign-ups while eliminating gas fees and other associated obstacles.

Presently, Crossmint counts over 40,000 companies and developers among its user base, including prominent brands like Adidas and Red Bull. The platform's adoption spans diverse industries and caters to entities of varying sizes, from startups to Fortune 500 corporations. Notably, Crossmint is facilitating the integration of AI agent-driven commerce, recognizing the potential for AI agents to play a pivotal role in global e-commerce spending, projected to reach $6.8 trillion. The platform equips AI agents with wallets, payments, and credential APIs, supporting secure fund management, asset trading, and procurement activities. In this vein, Crossmint has also developed the GOAT SDK, an open-source library tailored for AI agents interfacing with blockchain protocols, which has garnered 150,000 downloads in the last two months.

The co-founders of Crossmint, Rodri Fernandez and Alfonso Gomez-Jordana, emphasize the platform's role in reshaping commerce by catering to AI agents and addressing the unique requirements of blockchain infrastructure. Noteworthy endorsements have come from Zack Rosen at Ribbit Capital, underscoring the potential of Crossmint to drive revenue diversification and operational efficiencies for major brands while nurturing the groundwork for AI-powered applications.
