EGI Battery Inc. Secures $10 Million Funding to Accelerate U.S. Advanced Battery Manufacturing

EGI Battery Inc., a U.S.-based advanced battery technology and manufacturing company, has successfully closed a $10 million seed financing round led by TSV Capital and supported by several prominent U.S. family offices. The funding aims to expedite the company's manufacturing scale-up, commercial expansion, and the ongoing development of high-performance batteries for aerospace, uncrewed aerial systems (UAS), robotics, and critical infrastructure applications.

Tom McGuckin, CEO and Founder of EGI Battery Inc., expressed enthusiasm in welcoming TSV Capital and new family office partners as investors, highlighting the validation of their technology's strength and the urgency of the market demand for secure, domestically designed and manufactured batteries. The support will advance Michigan-based manufacturing operations to execute the company's 2026 commercial plan. Eugene Zhang, Founding Partner at TSV Capital, emphasized the strategic importance of domestically building the capability for advanced batteries, citing it as a market opportunity and a strategic imperative.

The funding will fuel EGI's U.S.-based industrialization roadmap, focusing on scalable production, a secure domestic supply chain, and rigorous quality standards, including ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification targets. EGI is also aiming to have at least 95% NDAA-compliant materials by cost in 2028, reinforcing the commitment to resilient, trusted domestic energy solutions and long-term U.S. commercialization.
