Goodfire Secures Funding for Advancing AI Research and Development

Goodfire, a San Francisco-based research company and public benefit corporation, has successfully secured a new round of funding. The funding round was led by B Capital and saw participation from existing investors such as Juniper Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, South Park Commons, and Wing Venture Capital, as well as new investors including DFJ Growth, Salesforce Ventures, Eric Schmidt, and others.

This latest funding, which comes less than a year after its Series A, is poised to facilitate Goodfire's initiatives in advancing frontier research, developing the next generation of its core product, and expanding partnerships across AI agents and life sciences. Goodfire is committed to leveraging interpretability to comprehend, learn from, and design AI systems.

Their objective is to construct a new era of secure and potent AI by focusing on understanding the intelligence being developed, rather than simply scaling alone. The ultimate aim is to create AI that is comprehensible, debuggable, and malleable like software.
