New partnership brings behavioral health to the frontlines of cancer care

VieCure, a precision oncology company, has partnered with Adjuvant Behavioral Health to integrate behavioral health referrals and monitoring directly into oncology workflows. Oncologists can now identify, refer, and coordinate care for distressed patients, all within VieCure’s clinical platform.
This integration addresses a major gap: studies show 70% of cancer patients experiencing psychological distress never receive behavioral health care. With Adjuvant’s collaborative care model — already active in 250+ oncology clinics nationwide — patients can access counseling, medication management, and care coordination at the point of treatment.
By integrating into VieCure’s platform, behavioral health providers can now be fully embedded in oncology care, creating a seamless referral and feedback loop that keeps clinicians connected. This closed-loop system facilitates real-time data sharing, providing new research opportunities to strengthen the role of behavioral health in cancer treatment and survivorship.
This partnership bridges a critical gap and aligns with federal Whole-Person Care initiatives under the Enhancing Oncology Mode (EOM), signaling a new wave of collaboration between digital health, oncology, and behavioral care in which mental health is an integrated, reimbursable, and measurable part of chronic disease treatment.
