Perle Raises $17.5M in Total Funding to Launch Perle Labs for AI Data Sets

Perle, an AI training data platform, has closed a $9 million seed round led by Framework Ventures, bringing its total funding to $17.5 million. The new funding will be used to launch Perle Labs, a crypto-native ecosystem aimed at improving AI by integrating blockchain infrastructure and incentive design to provide transparent payments and verifiable work histories.

Perle Labs will reward contributors and establish on-chain proof of work, aiming to address the limitations of current AI models by expanding access to high-quality, diverse, and verified data sets. The company, founded by AI veterans, aims to combine human expertise with adaptive workflows to collect, annotate, and evaluate specialized training data faster and with higher accuracy.

Perle's latest funding round was led by Framework Ventures, a major crypto venture capital firm. Perle's previous $8.5 million seed round in October 2024 was led by CoinFund and included participation from Protagonist, HashKey, and Peer VC. Perle is committed to building infrastructure that ensures AI progress is smarter, safer, and more inclusive.
