RAVEN.IO Raises $20 Million in Funding for Innovative Application Security Approach

RAVEN.IO, a cybersecurity company based in Palo Alto, California, has secured $20 million in funding to support its pioneering approach to application security. The company's platform analyzes code behavior at runtime, taking a different approach from traditional tools that rely on known vulnerability signatures. This approach aims to address the evolving threat landscape where AI-generated exploits are rapidly changing the attack surface.
RAVEN.IO's technology observes the internal execution paths of applications in real time, creating unique behavioral fingerprints for each path to detect malicious deviations instantly, without depending on CVE publication cycles. The platform has already been deployed in production with 11 enterprise customers, primarily in the insurance and financial services sectors. The company was founded in 2023 by veterans of elite Israeli cyber units and the creators of Javelin Networks.
The funding will be utilized to drive product development, expand go-to-market activities in the United States, and bolster the company's engineering and research teams. Investors in the seed round include Norwest, Elron Ventures, RedSeed, UpWest, SentinelOne, Jibe Ventures, Dnipro VC, Unusual Ventures, CyberFuture, and Descope CEO Slavik Markovich. The company's innovative approach to runtime behavioral security and its potential for broad adoption across global enterprises have garnered strong support from investors and industry experts.
