SiMa.ai Secures $150 Million Series C to Push On-Device AI for Robots and Drones

SiMa.ai, a hardware-software startup focused on running AI directly on devices such as robots, drones, and cameras, has closed a $150 million Series C at a $1.45 billion valuation. The round was led by Fidelity Management & Research Company and Amplify, with additional participation from Alter Venture Partners, Dell Technologies Capital, and StepStone Group.

Founded in 2018 by Krishna Rangasayee, former COO of chipmaker Groq, SiMa.ai builds energy-efficient chips paired with software that eliminates the need to shuttle data to the cloud. The company asserts that its low-latency performance and lower chip costs—versus Nvidia GPUs—position it to win in the growing market for physical AI devices, including humanoid robots.

This financing brings SiMa.ai’s total funding to over $500 million. The startup previously carried a $960 million valuation after an $85 million Series B in July 2025, according to PitchBook.
