Subtle Medical Secures $33M in Series C Financing and Appoints New CEO

Subtle Medical, a leading provider of AI-powered medical imaging software, has announced securing $33 million in growth capital through a Series C financing led by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital. The company has also appointed Ohad Arazi as its new Chief Executive Officer. The funding round involved participation from Korea-based Shinhan Venture Investment and existing investors, bringing the total capital raised to $86 million.

The new capital will be utilized to accelerate product development, expand commercial adoption globally, and scale the vendor-neutral AI imaging platform across MRI, PET, and CT workflows. Subtle Medical aims to address the challenges in medical imaging by improving image quality and accelerating scans on existing imaging systems, particularly benefiting pediatric, elderly, and critically ill patients. With up to an 80% reduction in scan time, the company's AI software is deployed on over 1,300 scanners globally.The newly appointed CEO, Ohad Arazi, aims to accelerate global enterprise expansion, leveraging his extensive experience in medical imaging AI.

Subtle's flagship products, SubtleHD™(MR) and SubtlePET™, have been deployed across major imaging networks, academic medical centers, and leading health systems worldwide, providing measurable gains in throughput, efficiency, and patient experience. The company's AI Imaging Hub offers a unified platform for health systems to enhance image quality, standardize outputs, and streamline workflows across their entire infrastructure in real time. 

Subtle is also advancing AI-enabled contrast-enhanced imaging through the development of SubtleGAD™, a technology designed to enable significantly lower-dose gadolinium-enhanced MRI.
