Timeshifter Secures $5.3M Funding to Expand Circadian Technology

Timeshifter, a leading provider of circadian technology and creator of the popular jet lag app, has announced securing a total of $5.3 million in funding. The investment comes from a group of notable investors, including Atlassian Co-Founder Scott Farquhar, Kim Jackson's Skip Capital, Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg, Axiom Space Chief Astronaut Michael López-Alegría, and The Points Guy Founder Brian Kelly.
The funding will facilitate Timeshifter's expansion from addressing jet lag to focusing on shift work and healthcare, where circadian disruption poses significant challenges and commercial opportunities. The company's CEO, Mickey Beyer-Clausen, emphasized the critical role of circadian rhythms in human performance, safety, and health, stating that Timeshifter aims to address problems affecting billions of people by harnessing circadian science into practical and scalable solutions. Following the success of its jet lag app, which has garnered over 1.6 million users globally and received positive feedback based on post-flight surveys, Timeshifter plans to apply its core technology to a new standalone shift work app, catering to thousands of shift workers across various industries.
The company has also extended its services to astronauts, elite athletes, and sports teams, with endorsements from renowned figures like Nico Rosberg and gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin. The participation of strategic investors, who are active users of Timeshifter's products, underscores the potential impact of circadian technology in revolutionizing various facets of human life, as predicted by the Global Wellness Summit in its 2020 trend report.
The new funding round indicates a significant milestone for Timeshifter, marking the commercial realization of circadian technology's transformative influence on how people live, work, and receive healthcare.
