iHerb Acquires Vitacost.com from Kroger

Kroger Co. has finalized the sale of its subsidiary, Vitacost.com, Inc., an eCommerce retailer of health and wellness products, to iHerb. The transaction was completed on January 8, 2026. Kroger's Chairman and CEO, Ron Sargent, stated that the sale of Vitacost is part of their strategy to review non-core assets and focus on simplifying the organization, improving customer experience, and concentrating on the core business.

iHerb's CEO, Emun Zabihi, emphasized that the acquisition of Vitacost represents a strategic investment, and iHerb is well positioned to help Vitacost reach its potential. The acquisition is not expected to impact Kroger's financial guidance for 2025.
