SAP to Acquire WalkMe in $1.5 Billion All-Cash Deal

The German software giant SAP has announced its agreement to purchase WalkMe in a deal valued at approximately $1.5 billion.

WalkMe, an operator of a digital adoption platform, collaborates with organizations to enhance productivity and minimize risk. The acquisition is anticipated to enhance SAP's business management portfolio, specifically in the realm of AI offerings. S

The terms of the acquisition stipulate that WalkMe will continue to provide support for non-SAP applications. The transaction is projected to close in the third quarter, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval.

The offer price of $1.5 billion, translating to approximately $14 per share, represents a 45% premium to WalkMe's Tuesday closing share price. WalkMe, which went public in June 2021 at $31 a share, observed a 42% increase in its shares by midmorning Wednesday, while SAP's stock rose by 0.84%.
