Tyler Technologies Acquires MyGov LLC to Expand Community Development Solutions

Tyler Technologies, Inc. has completed the acquisition of MyGov LLC, a company specializing in cloud-based software for streamlining permitting, inspections, planning, and zoning. This strategic move unites Tyler’s expertise in the public sector with MyGov’s success in providing community development and asset management solutions to municipalities.

The acquisition brings a range of community development modules under Tyler’s portfolio, allowing for a comprehensive suite of solutions tailored to small and mid-size jurisdictions. MyGov, with its strong presence in Texas and approximately 150 clients, will enhance Tyler’s ability to meet the needs of communities efficiently. The acquisition also positions Tyler to leverage MyGov’s scalable and easy-to-implement solutions, integrating them with Tyler’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

MyGov's founder, Stephen Burnsworth, expressed excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the potential to elevate public administration offerings. As part of the acquisition, MyGov's management and staff will join Tyler’s Municipal & Schools Division, based in Norman, Oklahoma.
