Wonder Acquires Grubhub to Revolutionize Food Delivery

Wonder, a revolutionary food hall, is set to acquire Grubhub, a leading food ordering and delivery platform in the United States. The acquisition, valued at $650 million, aims to make great food more accessible by integrating Grubhub into Wonder's super app for mealtime. Additionally, Wonder has raised $250 million in new capital to further its mission and growth.

Founded by Marc Lore, Wonder offers Multi-Restaurant Ordering, a unique feature allowing customers to order from multiple restaurants in a single order. The platform also features exclusive offerings from renowned chefs and restaurants. On the other hand, Grubhub has been connecting merchants with customers for 20 years, covering the vast majority of the U.S. population with on-demand delivery from various businesses.

 Both companies are looking forward to providing an enhanced customer experience and creating remarkable dining experiences for more customers across the country. The acquisition is expected to be completed in Q1 2025, subject to customary closing conditions including regulatory approvals.
