Tech Companies' Layoffs: Spotify, Twilio, Klarna, and Bending Spoons Face Workforce Reductions

Several major tech companies have announced significant workforce reductions recently.
Bending Spoons: Milan-based creative app studio Bending Spoons laid off the entire staff of Filmic, a company it acquired, with all 22 employees departing in November.
Spotify: Spotify is eliminating about 1,500 jobs, representing around 17% of its workforce, in its third round of layoffs this year. This comes as the music streaming giant seeks to become more productive and efficient.
Klarna: Swedish fintech Klarna has also halted new staff hires beyond its engineering department, citing the use of AI-powered tools as a reason for not increasing headcount.
Twilio: Cloud communications platform Twilio revealed it will lay off approximately 5% of its workforce by the first quarter of 2024, aiming to achieve profitable growth.
