Recast Capital Announces Second Cohort of Recast Accelerate Program

Recast Capital has revealed the second cohort of its Recast Accelerate program, aimed at supporting and investing in early-stage US funds led by women and non-binary individuals. The Fall 2024 cohort will include GPs from 25 funds, all with at least one GP who identifies as a woman or non-binary. Additionally, 28% have at least one GP who is Black, 20% Asian, 4% LatinX, 12% LGBTQIA+, and 32% first-generation US citizens.

The sectors of focus for the funds vary, including ClimateTech, Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise SaaS, FinTech, and Health and Wellness. The review process was supported by a selection committee of limited partners, including prominent figures like Ashlie Tyler of Bank of America and Melinda French Gates' company, Pivotal Ventures.

The program aims to provide no-cost support to the emerging managers for critical needs across their firm-building experience, such as investor relations, operational templates, an internship program, and storytelling and sales workshops.
