Rune Technologies raises $24M to revolutionize AI-enabled military logistics

Silicon Valley is increasingly investing in defense technology amidst rising geopolitical tensions. While many startups in this sector focus on hardware and weaponry, Rune Technologies is carving a niche in AI-enabled software for military logistics. Co-founder David Tuttle, a former U.S. Army officer, highlights the outdated logistics processes in the military and the need for innovation in this area.
Rune's flagship product, TyrOS, uses deep learning models and edge-first architecture to transform manual logistics into intelligent supply webs. The startup recently secured a $24 million Series A funding round led by Human Capital, with participation from several prominent VC firms. TyrOS offers technical capabilities as a mission command system for logistics and features an edge-first architecture, allowing it to operate independently.
Additionally, Rune has secured partnerships with executives at Palantir and Anduril, signaling potential collaboration opportunities in the future. The long-term vision for Rune is to bridge the gap between tactical-level intelligence and strategic decision-making in military operations.
