Runware Secures $50 Million Series A Funding for Real-time Media Generation Platform

Runware, founded by Flaviu Radulescu and Ioana Hreninciuc in 2023, has experienced significant growth as a development tool platform specializing in real-time generation of images, videos, and audio. The company has powered over 10 billion creations for more than 200,000 developers. With a $50 million Series A funding led by Dawn Capital, Runware has raised a total of $66 million to date.

The funding will be used to expand the company's infrastructure and power over 2 million AI models with its Sonic Inference Engine. Runware's unique approach offers a fully unified API with competitive pricing, leveraging a custom AI inference infrastructure for open-source models. The company also partners with third-party AI cloud providers to automatically reroute workloads when needed.

The platform aims to be the go-to API for all AI models, while continuing to expand into new modalities. Hreninciuc highlighted the company's commitment to making the market more affordable, benefiting both app builders and end users globally.
