Spanish startup Xoople, pronounced as 'zoople,' has secured a $130 million Series B funding round led by Nazca Capital. The company, founded in 2019, specializes in developing a satellite constellation aimed at collecting precise data for deep learning models.

Xoople has spent the past seven years building its technology stack around government spacecraft data and integrating with cloud providers. Additionally, Xoople has entered into a partnership with L3Harris Technologies, a U.S. space and defense contractor, to begin constructing sensors for its spacecraft. These sensors are designed to gather data that is significantly superior to existing monitoring systems. The startup is focused on embedding its data and solutions directly into enterprise platforms to provide services to their customers.

Despite facing competition from established players such as Vantor, Planet, BlackSky, and Airbus, Xoople aims to differentiate itself by prioritizing data quality and its emphasis on enterprise platforms. Xoople's ambitious goal is to build 'Earth's System of Record,' which involves developing a comprehensive AI world model in collaboration with partners. The company has raised a total of $225 million and is venturing into the realm of unicorn valuation.
