Menlo Ventures, a prominent Silicon Valley VC firm, has announced a collaboration with artificial intelligence startup Anthropic to establish a $100 million initiative known as the Anthology Fund. This fund is geared towards the investment in pre-seed and Series A artificial intelligence companies.

Menlo Ventures, which recently became one of the primary investors in Anthropic, is utilizing a portion of its latest $1.35 billion vehicle to finance the Anthology Fund. The fund will offer initial checks starting at $100,000 to startups, along with $25,000 worth of credits for utilizing Anthropic’s models.

Startups can apply for funding through an online form, and Menlo will employ its proprietary machine learning tool to evaluate and rank applications. Additionally, Menlo Ventures will support subsequent rounds raised by promising Anthology Fund companies.
