River SaaS Capital, a provider of alternative venture financing to growing software-as-a-service (SaaS) businesses, has announced the launch of its newly established equity fund, TruWest Fund I, with a $50 million investment focus on US-based B2B software-as-a-service companies.

This move serves as part of River SaaS Capital's strategy to provide a continuum of capital for high potential companies in its venture debt portfolio, aiming to empower and scale B2B software-as-a-service businesses. The equity fund complements River SaaS Capital's existing venture debt fund that was established in 2015 and the direct equity investments initiated in 2019, allowing the company to provide multiple capital options to their portfolio companies at scale.

Wendy Jarchow, Chief Investment Officer, emphasized that the $50 million fund not only provides capital but also offers strategic leadership, operational expertise, and a continuum of support, recognizing that funding for SaaS companies requires a tailored approach. River SaaS Capital's financing solutions typically include non-dilutive, revenue-based financing in 36-48 month term loans, with the ability to grow with portfolio companies over time through debt and/or equity.
