Ubiquity Ventures Secures $75M for Third Fund
Ubiquity Ventures has successfully closed its third fund, securing $75 million in capital commitments. The firm's founding partner, Sunil Nagaraj, formed Ubiquity in 2017 and previously closed a debut fund of $30 million in 2018, followed by a $51 million fund in 2020.
Nagaraj, a former member of Bessemer Venture Partners, emphasizes early-stage startups that focus on 'software beyond the screen,' to "solve real-world physical problems by utilizing smart hardware or machine learning to provide their enterprise customers with solutions that are more effective, easier to adopt, and offer more rapid payback."
The fund's investments include companies such as Camino, Croptide, Elementary, Empo Health, Excarta, Parallel Domain, and Safehub. Per TechCrunch, Nagaraj plans to make approximately 20 investments from the new fund, with an allocation of about $1 to $2 million for seed rounds and Series A. Additionally, he has established Ubiquity University, offering educational videos for seed-stage entrepreneurs, covering topics like setting up board meetings, creating financial models, and building cap tables.
